2011 Swedish Warmblood bay filly
We knew Aj could produce a lovely sport pony type, but we wanted to see what she could produce with a warmblood. Our main focus was temperament, and our search for a stallion didn't take long. Cree is a 17.2HH Swedish Warmblood stallion who was the Champion of the 2005 Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeder's Association Stallion Performance test. He finished first in the dressage index and second in the jumping index. Most important to us were his scores of 10's in character, constitution and rideability and 9's for temperament, willingness and jumping scope.
Creescendo (barn name Cyra) is a lovely blend of her dad and mom (here's her pedigree). The mix of Swedish, Holsteiner and Hanoverian lines has done her justice. She has a stunning head, lovely dark eyes like her mom and a gentle personality. It was very hard to part with Cyra, as it was a 19 year chapter closing in my riding and horse life. Cyra's mom, Ajawaan, was my long time partner - a definite horse soul mate. As it became impossible to safely ride again I had to make a difficult choice. To have three different sized carriages - it just wasn't going to happen. There wasn't much interest in a 2 year old over the winter...the spring brought on a few inquiries (some so bizarre - gotta love the internet!!) but Cyra has landed well. She gets to try her hand in dressage (which she was bred for), gets a super, super turnout situation and a wonderful new partner!! It was hard to see her go...tears finally came after the trailer pulled away, but I couldn't be more pleased - she's staying in ALBERTA!! And nearby too. Win - win!!
